If you’ve suffered a heart attack or another traumatic cardiovascular complication, you might be wondering when you’ll be back in action. An important part of recovery is cardiac rehabilitation.
If you injure a joint, you go to physical therapy to ease the healing process and get your muscles back in shape. Since your heart is a muscle, it also needs to “get back in shape” if it has been damaged. That’s where cardiac rehabilitation comes in.
